What OHIP covers, and what it doesn’t
Most of the pain procedures we do in this clinic are covered by OHIP for Ontario residents with a valid health card. A handful of elective options — hyaluronic acid (HA) injections, platelet-rich plasma (PRP), and Botox for non-OHIP indications — are out-of-pocket. What you’ll need to bring
- Your valid Ontario health card (OHIP).
- A list of your current medications, including doses.
- Any imaging reports you have — MRI, CT, X-ray, ultrasound.
- A referral form from your family doctor — see our referral page for the form they can fax.
What if I don’t have OHIP?
In some cases we can bill a third party directly — for example WSIB claims or motor vehicle insurance after a collision. For procedures OHIP does not cover, or if you are visiting from outside Ontario, you can pay for the visit yourself. Call the clinic before booking and we will walk through the options with you.
