Accessibility at The Pain Clinic
We aim to make our clinic and our website usable by everyone — patients with mobility, vision, hearing, or cognitive needs included.
In the clinic
- The building, our clinic, and our washrooms are wheelchair accessible.
- Free patient parking on-site, including wheelchair-accessible spots next to the main entrance.
- We can arrange extra time, language support, or a quieter waiting area on request — tell us when you book.
- We follow the standards set out in the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).
On this website
We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards across the site. Specifically:
- Text colour contrast meets AA on every page.
- All interactive elements are keyboard-reachable, with visible focus rings.
- Body diagrams and procedure illustrations have plain-language alternatives.
- Animation and motion respect the system "reduce motion" setting.
- Forms have proper labels and error messages.
Tell us if something does not work
If you run into a barrier on this site or in the clinic, we want to know. Email us at thepainclinictoronto@gmail.com or call 416-398-1515.
We aim to respond within two business days. If your concern is about access in the clinic itself and time-sensitive, please call rather than email.
Formal AODA accessibility plan
Our multi-year accessibility plan and the standards we follow are available on request. Contact us using the contact page.
